Anika Saran Goodwin, MD, FACS, attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, and received her medical degree in 2001. Furthermore, she conducted an internship with the UNC Hospitals and her ophthalmology residency at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. In addition, she completed her fellowship training in oculofacial plastic surgery and ocular trauma at Wayne State University Kresge Eye Institute. Dr. Goodwin received board certification in ophthalmology from the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (FAAO) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). In addition to her medical degree, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy acquired at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
