Anika Saran Goodwin, MD, FACS, attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, and received his medical degree in 2001. Furthermore, he conducted an internship with the UNC Hospitals and his ophthalmology residency at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. In addition, he completed his fellowship training in oculofacial plastic surgery and ocular trauma at the Wayne State University Kresge Eye Institute. Dr. Goodwin received board certification in ophthalmology from the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (FAAO) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). In addition to her medical degree, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy acquired at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2005, he received a Research Award from the American College of Surgeons.
